Glass Used: Champagne Flute
In a shaker combine:
1oz Hendricks Gin
1oz Fresh lemon Juice
1/2 oz Butterfly Pea Flower Simple*
Shake with ice slowly to chill and not add too much water or aeration
Strain into a chilled champagne flute.
With a Bar spoon inserted vertically in the champagne flute filled with the chilled mix pour the Chilled GH Mumm Brut down the bar spoon to avoid fizzing over.
Squeeze a lemon peels oils over the top and Garnish with a lemon peel
*Butterfly pea flower simple:
1 cup clover honey.
3 cups steaming hot water.
4 I heart Tea Butterfly pea flower tea bags (Strings removed)
Pour honey in a quart container.
lay the 4 Tea bags on top.
Stir in the hot water till the honey dissolves.
Cover and let steep to room temperature.
Stir again and remove tea bags.
Store in a refrigerator/food safe container labelled and dated.
Thin slice of lemon peel just above the pith about 2" long in order to expres oils and make an adequate twist.
I always credit Charlotte Voisey and Jocelyn Etherington. Both of whom inspire me every year at Tales and beyond. this combines there efforts with their sparkling personalities and gives us that combination in a cocktail that becomes the Royal Purple hue that is known to the beautiful city of NOLA.
