Glass Used: Hurricane

Recipe:

2 oz Flor de Caña 4

½ oz Orgeat syrup

½ oz lime juice

10 drops Wild Hibiscus Flower Extract

3-4 Raspberries

2 half peach in syrup (1 whole)

3 basil leaves

Directions:

Blend everything with a large scoop of crushed ice

Garnish:

1 wild hibiscus flower in syrup

2 basil leaves (making the leaves of the hibiscus flower)

1 raspberry with one toasted almond inside

Inspiration:

I chose Flor de Caña rum because i wanted an industrial rum and I particularly like this one.

Peach to remind the New Orleans, Louisiana and Georgia.

Hibiscus extract because I live in Mexico and they use concentrate of this flower in many drinks and sauces.

Orgeat syrup because I'm French and we use it in many summer drinks (mauresque...also to remind the French backgrounds of the New Orleans) and as a homage to Trader Vic and his Mai Tai.

Basil leaves and raspberries because it combines wonderfully with the others ingredients.
